The wording is confusing: Christians (plural) vs. Pile It Up (Singular)
I'll assume the author of that quote means that [paraphrased] "Christians are like Manure Turds (pardon the unbiblical term). As a group or a force they stink. Spread them out and they may do some good."
I think it's a little too strong and too idealistic, but if the premise is that Christians should be out in the world rather than gathered together in churches being Christians, I agree.
What really stinks, though, is Christians faking thier "walk" to other Christians. It hurts everyone.
